Beaumont Teen Arrested in Connection with Shooting That Left Victim Paralyzed

On Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 3:44 p.m., Beaumont Police responded to a local hospital following reports of a shooting victim arriving at the emergency room by private auto. The victim, suffering from a gunshot wound to the back, provided crucial information to the officers.

According to the initial investigation, the incident took place in the 1500 block of Hale, where the victim and several others were inside a vehicle. The victim managed to provide street names of two out of the three suspects involved in the shooting.

Following a thorough investigation, detectives identified 19-year-old Jayson Jamarion Arclies as one of the suspects and subsequently filed the case with the District Attorney’s Office. Arclies was indicted for Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon causing paralysis, a 1st Degree Felony, on Wednesday, January 24.

A warrant was issued on Thursday, January 25, and Beaumont Police Department’s Special Assignment Unit located and arrested Arclies today.

The ongoing investigation reveals that two other suspects, believed to be juveniles, are still at large. One juvenile suspect has been identified, but the other remains unknown.
