Brownsville Police Arrest Suspect in PNC Bank Armed Robbery

On January 26, 2024, Brownsville Police Officers apprehended 39-year-old Ruben Yzaguirre during a felony traffic stop on Old Port Isabel Rd. Yzaguirre is believed to be the prime suspect in the armed robbery that took place at the PNC Bank in the 3200 block of Boca Chica Blvd on January 11, 2024.

Yzaguirre is currently facing charges of AGGRAVATED ROBBERY (1st Degree Felony), ARSON (State Jail Felony), and ENGAGING IN ORGANIZED CRIMINAL ACTIVITY (1st Degree Felony). The arrest follows ongoing investigations into the incident at the PNC Bank, where an armed robbery occurred earlier this month.

Authorities executed the felony traffic stop with precision, taking Yzaguirre into custody without incident.
