Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Possible Murder-Suicide in a Magnolia Home

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating an incident in Magnolia that took place on January 26, 2024. At around 9:10 a.m., deputies responded to a welfare concern in the Northgrove Subdivision, where they discovered the lifeless bodies of a male and a female.

Both individuals had sustained apparent gunshot wounds, and the weapon was found at the scene. There is currently no known threat to the community.

Homicide and Violent Crimes Detectives, alongside Crime Scene Investigators, are actively working to piece together the details of the incident. Preliminary findings suggest it is a domestic situation that resulted in the death of both individuals. The Sheriff’s Office is committed to ensuring the safety of the community and conducting a thorough and compassionate investigation for the affected family.

At this time, the names of the deceased individuals will not be disclosed, out of respect for the grieving family and to allow for the proper notification of next of kin.
