Unidentified Homicide Victim Found in Beaumont: Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying by Tattoos

In a grim discovery on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at 6:46 p.m., Beaumont Police responded to a call near the intersection of Avenue C and Crockett Street, where they found the body of a significantly decomposed white male in a small wooded area. Authorities are treating the case as a homicide, and multiple investigative units have been mobilized to solve this mystery.

The Beaumont Police Department’s Persons Detectives, Special Assignments Unit (SAU), Identification (ID) Unit, and the Jefferson County Crime Lab have all joined forces to aid in the investigation. Despite their efforts, the victim remains unidentified, prompting law enforcement to release all available information in the hope that someone may recognize him.

The victim is described as a white male, believed to be a transient, standing at 5’3 with a thin build and brown hair. He possesses distinctive tattoos that may aid in his identification. These tattoos include the word “OUTLAW” spanning the middle of his back, a large Cross extending from his sternum to his abdomen, and an Eagle or Hawk on his right outer bicep. The bird tattoo includes a compass rose and a banner just above the elbow, listing four names in descending order: “Heather, John, Diane, Joe.”

Authorities have located and are sharing three images of these tattoos to facilitate the identification process (see photos attached to this article).
