Deputies were dispatched at approximately 2:48 a.m. on July 10 to a reported drive-by shooting involving a vehicle stopped at the intersection of Farm Road 529 and the Grand Parkway (State Highway 99).
When deputies arrived, they found the 19-year-old victim unresponsive in the driver’s seat of his vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. Authorities said the vehicle’s engine was still running, and the passenger side had been struck numerous times by gunfire.
Emergency medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Investigators said family members used the vehicle’s GPS system to track its location and arrived at the scene shortly after deputies.
