Four Arrested After Armed Robbery at Beaumont Business

BEAUMONT, Texas – The Beaumont Police Department arrested four suspects Monday evening following an aggravated robbery at a business on Phelan Boulevard.

Police said officers responded around 6:49 p.m. May 25 to High Times, located at 5925 Phelan Boulevard, after receiving reports of an aggravated robbery in progress.

According to investigators, initial reports indicated several suspects wearing hoodies and ski masks entered the business while armed with firearms.

Before officers arrived, multiple callers reported seeing the suspects walking eastbound away from the business while still displaying firearms, authorities said.

Responding officers quickly located the suspects and safely took all four individuals into custody without incident.

Detectives with the department’s Criminal Investigations Division and Identification Division responded to continue the investigation and process evidence at the scene.

During the investigation, officers recovered two firearms.

Authorities identified two of the suspects as 17-year-old Derek Westbrooks of Beaumont and 17-year-old Nehemiah Broussard of Beaumont. Two additional male juveniles were also arrested.

Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
