Ex-Partner Breaks Into Apartment, Shooting Ensues in Beaumont

On Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 10:26 p.m., the Beaumont Police Officers responded to an apartment at 2950 S. 8th following a shooting incident. According to preliminary investigation reports, the incident unfolded as a result of a complex situation involving an ex-partner breaking into the victim’s apartment. Additional individuals became embroiled in the confrontation, resulting in a struggle over a firearm and ultimately, one person sustaining a gunshot wound.

The injured individual was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect responsible for breaking into the apartment has been identified as 25-year-old Annie Robinson. Robinson has been apprehended and faces charges of Burglary, Interference with public duties, and resisting arrest.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under scrutiny by Family Violence Detectives as the investigation continues.
