Collision Claims Life of Sour Lake Resident in Beaumont Accident

On Wednesday, January 3, 2023, at 4:02 PM, in Beaumont, Texas, when a fatal accident occurred in the 5400 block of College St. A white 2008 Chevy Cobalt, driven by 86-year-old Connie Beard of Sour Lake, exited a parking lot and began traveling east.

Simultaneously, a 2018 Black F-250 was also heading east in the same block. The driver of the Chevy Cobalt attempted a u-turn, resulting in a collision with the F-250. The impact was severe, and unfortunately, Connie Beard, the driver of the Cobalt, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Beaumont EMS.

In response to the incident, J.P. Collins arrived and ordered an autopsy to further investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic accident.
