Harris County Sheriff’s Office Needs Help in Identifying Murder Suspects in Road Rage Incident

Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying suspects involved in a fatal road rage incident that took place on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at approximately 4:08 p.m. in east Harris County.

The incident resulted in the death of 21-year-old Angel Muniz-Acosta, who succumbed to his injuries. His 21-year-old female passenger emerged unharmed.

Eyewitnesses report that the victim was reversing out of a private driveway on Muscatine Street when the suspects’ vehicle, identified as a silver-colored 4-door Toyota Camry, was observed turning onto Muscatine Street near Tacos Toro #2 on Freeport Street. The suspects’ vehicle was reportedly speeding and maneuvered around an SUV on the road.

The two vehicles converged a short distance past Freeport Street, where the suspects’ vehicle decelerated. A male suspect was observed pointing a handgun at the victim’s vehicle. Subsequently, the victim’s vehicle veered off the road into a ditch, while the suspect vehicle hastily fled the scene heading westbound on Muscatine Drive in the same silver 4-door Toyota Camry.
