Man Arrested After Stabbing and Disturbance at Beaumont Hotel

On Thursday, July 3, 2025, at approximately 9:17 p.m., Beaumont Police officers responded to a disturbance involving a knife-wielding man at the America’s Best Value Inn located at 1115 IH-10 South.
According to the preliminary investigation, 38-year-old Samuel Harmon confronted several guests at the hotel while armed with a knife. During the incident, Harmon broke a window, kicked in a door, and slashed a vehicle tire. He then approached the front of the hotel and stabbed a male victim in the chest.
Following the stabbing, Harmon fled to a nearby business, where he attempted to attack another person. That individual was able to subdue Harmon until officers arrived on scene.
Both Harmon and the stabbing victim were transported to a local hospital. The victim remains in stable condition. Harmon sustained minor injuries and was later booked into the Jefferson County Correctional Facility on a charge of Aggravated Assault.
The investigation remains ongoing.
