Beaumont Man Charged with Murder After Woman Struck by Vehicle

A Beaumont man has been charged with murder following a disturbance that escalated to a fatal incident on Friday, June 20, 2025. Ronald Speights, 47, was arrested after allegedly striking Browin Williams, 46, with his vehicle, leading to her death.

Beaumont Police Officers initially responded to a disturbance call at a residence in the 1200 block of Corley Avenue at approximately 7:46 a.m. Upon arrival, the residence was found unoccupied.

Through the course of the investigation, officers determined that a disturbance had occurred between a male and a female. This altercation escalated when the male reportedly struck the female with his vehicle. He then transported her to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.

The male, identified as Ronald Speights, was detained at the hospital. Following an interview with detectives, he was transported to the Jefferson County Jail and formally charged with murder.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
