Man Arrested for Theft of Polaris Ranger and Baby Goats in South Texas

Cameron County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a theft report on Saturday evening in Los Fresnos, Texas. A 43-year-old man reported that his 2015 Polaris Ranger and two baby goats were stolen from his property. Fortunately, the items were located at a residence in Laguna Heights by a friend.

Upon investigation, deputies were informed by the resident that a person named Francisco had sold them the stolen items. Francisco Hernandez Gonzalez was identified and read his Miranda rights. He confessed to taking the Polaris and baby goats without the owner’s consent and selling them.

The victim was able to recover both the Polaris and the baby goats. Francisco Hernandez Gonzalez was subsequently arrested and taken to Carrizales Rucker Detention Center pending arraignment. He faces a charge of Theft, a State Jail Felony, as per Texas Penal Code 31.03.
