Florida Woman Arrested in Beaumont with 579 Kilograms of Cocaine

A traffic stop on Interstate 10 Eastbound led to a significant drug seizure on Thursday morning, April 17, 2025, when Beaumont Police Department Narcotics Unit officers discovered a large quantity of suspected cocaine.
At approximately 7:25 a.m. near the 832 mile marker, officers observed a white 15-passenger van towing a U-Haul trailer commit a traffic violation. During the stop, a K9 unit was deployed and alerted to the presence of narcotics.
A subsequent search of the U-Haul trailer revealed 12 black and yellow totes containing approximately 579 kilograms of suspected cocaine.
The driver, identified as 43-year-old Kedra Parker of Florida, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was arrested at the scene. She was transported to the Jefferson County Jail and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (over 400 grams).
