Suspect Arrested in Fatal Apartment Complex Shooting on Corporate Drive in West Houston

Maynor S. Osorto Ortega, 32, has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of a man at the 7502 Corporate Drive apartment complex on Saturday, April 12, at approximately 5:55 p.m. The charge was filed in the 495th State District Court.

The identity of the deceased victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

According to Houston Police Department (HPD) Homicide Division Detective K. Amri and Officer D. Toledo, officers responded to a shooting call at the указанный адрес apartment complex. Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and then observed an unresponsive male lying between two buildings within the complex. The victim had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

At the time of the shooting, there was no known suspect description or motive. However, further investigation identified Maynor S. Osorto Ortega as the suspect. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted, and charges were subsequently filed against Osorto Ortega. He was arrested without incident on Wednesday, April 16, and booked into the Harris County Jail.
