SpaceX Plans $100M Expansion in Brownsville

SpaceX is set to expand its presence in Brownsville, Texas, with plans to construct a massive office and industrial factory. According to records from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the project, dubbed “SpaceX Starbase Office,” will be situated at 52190 San Martin Blvd., within the SpaceX launch facility on Boca Chica Beach.

The proposed development boasts impressive dimensions, with enough space to accommodate 15 football fields. It will feature five levels of office mezzanine, supplementing an existing special-use industrial factory spanning approximately 1 million square feet.

With an estimated cost of $100 million, the project is scheduled to commence on February 23, with an anticipated completion date of January 1, 2025.
