One Dead, Two Injured in Shooting Incident at Polk County’s Kickapoo Marina Subdivision

On January 2, 2024, at approximately 11:25 PM, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a shooting at a residence in the Kickapoo Marina Subdivision in Livingston TX. Deputies and Detectives arrived at the scene, aided by the Onalaska Police Department.

Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered one deceased male individual and two other males with multiple gunshot wounds. The injured subjects were airlifted for medical attention due to the severity of their injuries.

Additional support was provided by the Texas Rangers Office and the Polk County District Attorney’s Office, who responded to the scene to assist the ongoing investigation.

Detectives are actively working on the case, emphasizing that there is no immediate danger to the public or residents in the area.
