El Paso Man Stabs His Father to Death

The El Paso Police Department is currently conducting a murder investigation in connection with a tragic incident that unfolded at a residence on East Yandell. On December 2, 2023, at around 3:40 AM, patrol officers from the Central Regional Command Center responded to a reported stabbing.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered 55-year-old Alberto Javier Gallegos in critical condition. Despite prompt medical attention at the University Medical Center, Gallegos succumbed to his injuries. The preliminary investigation suggests that the incident originated from a domestic dispute that escalated into a fatal physical altercation.

At the scene, the offender, identified as 28-year-old Angel Javier Gallegos, son of the victim, was promptly detained by law enforcement. Subsequently, Angel Javier Gallegos has been arrested and charged with Murder. He has been booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility based on a warrant for Murder signed by Judge Nunez. Angel Javier Gallegos’s bail has been set at $250,000.00.
