Driver Stopped in Cleveland, Texas and Arrested After 65-Mile High-Speed Chase

On Monday, February 26, 2024, on the South Sam Houston Tollway East, Toll Road Deputies from Constable Jerry Garcia’s Office spotted a vehicle speeding at 87 miles per hour in a 65 MPH zone.

Attempting to pull over the vehicle, deputies found themselves in a pursuit as the driver refused to stop.

This led to a 65-mile chase involving multiple law enforcement agencies before the driver, identified as 26-year-old Nicolas Zepeda-Quintanilla, was finally apprehended in Cleveland, Texas.

Zepeda-Quintanilla was taken into custody without further trouble and transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center. There, he was booked for evading arrest or detention in a motor vehicle.
