Dickinson Man Arrested on Firearm, Body Armor, and Drug Charges Following Task Force Raid

On May 6, 2025, the Galveston County Organized Crime Task Force (OCTF), assisted by the Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) and the Galveston County S.W.A.T. team, executed a search warrant at a residence located at 3513 Missouri Avenue in Dickinson, Texas.

During the execution of the warrant, members of the OCTF and the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit discovered a shotgun, body armor, and a small quantity of cocaine inside the residence.

The suspect in the investigation, identified as 53-year-old ALEJANDRO CRUZ, was subsequently arrested. He faces charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, with a $100,000 bond; Unlawful Possession of Metal or Body Armor by a Felon, with a $100,000 bond; and Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1 less than 1 gram, with a $100,000 bond.

The Organized Crime Task Force is a collaborative multi-agency unit comprised of members from the League City Police Department, Dickinson Police Department, and the La Marque Police Department. The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office acknowledged the significant contributions of their Crime Reduction Unit (CRU), S.W.A.T. Team, and Crime Scene Unit (CSU) in this operation.
