Nearly 600 Grams of Fentanyl Seized During Traffic Stop in Pearland

PEARLAND, Texas — A traffic stop in Pearland led to the seizure of a large quantity of narcotics, including nearly 600 grams of fentanyl, according to the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies with the Crime Reduction Team conducted the stop around 12:40 p.m. on April 8, 2026, in the 9600 block of Broadway Street.

Authorities said deputies made contact with the driver, identified as 29-year-old Christopher Osorio, and developed probable cause to search the vehicle after observing indicators of criminal activity.

During the search, deputies located approximately 590 grams of fentanyl, 6.9 grams of heroin, and 2 grams of marijuana. Officials estimated the street value of the drugs at more than $30,000.

A passenger in the vehicle, identified as 40-year-old Regoberto Osoria, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1B, a first-degree felony; possession of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1, a second-degree felony; and possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor.

Osorio was also taken into custody and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

The investigation remains ongoing. Authorities are asking anyone with information related to illegal drug activity to contact the Brazoria County Narcotics Task Force.
