Suspect Arrested in String of Subway Robberies Across East Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A suspect has been arrested in connection with a series of armed robberies targeting Subway restaurants across east Harris County, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit identified a vehicle linked to multiple robberies during an extensive investigation.

On April 12, 2026, investigators learned that a Subway restaurant in the 12600 block of Woodforest Boulevard had just been robbed. Detectives confirmed the same suspect and vehicle were involved and quickly located the vehicle, relaying its direction of travel to patrol units.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop and took the driver, identified as 18-year-old Devion Williams, into custody without incident.

Authorities said a second suspect, who was a passenger in the vehicle, fled on foot and remains at large.

Investigators have linked Williams to a total of ten Subway robberies in the area. He has been booked into the Harris County Jail.

The Sheriff’s Office Robbery Unit continues to investigate and is working to identify the second suspect.
