Man Fatally Shot Near Horse Stables in North Houston, Suspect Seen Running From Scene

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Harris County homicide detectives are searching for a man accused of fleeing on foot after a fatal shooting near horse stables in north Houston late Friday night.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded around 11:55 p.m. Sept. 4 to the 500 block of Gulf Bank Road in the Meadowviewland area following a report of a shooting.

Deputies found an unidentified Hispanic man, believed to be about 30 years old, unresponsive near a set of horse stables on a large property. He had suffered apparent gunshot wounds.

Deputies provided lifesaving measures until EMS arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

A witness told investigators that a verbal argument occurred between the victim and another man shortly before the shooting. The witness then heard several gunshots and saw the other man run from the property, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators described the wanted man as Hispanic, approximately 40 years old, between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, with an average build. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans and running north from the scene.

Harris County homicide detectives and crime scene investigators responded to process the property and investigate the shooting.
