Charges Filed Against Juvenile Suspect in Fatal Shooting at 99 North Post Oak Lane
Charges have been filed against a suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of Moses Gama, 21, which occurred on May 21 at 99 North Post Oak Lane. The suspect, who was 16 years old at the time of the incident, has been referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on a capital murder charge.
Houston Police Department (HPD) Homicide Division Detectives A. Finlay and L. Kauffman reported that officers responded to a report of a shooting at an apartment complex parking lot at the aforementioned address. Upon arrival, they discovered Mr. Gama suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was tragically pronounced deceased.
Initial investigations suggested that the unknown suspect(s) attempted to rob Mr. Gama before shooting him. Subsequent investigation efforts led to the identification of the juvenile male as the primary suspect in the case, resulting in the filing of a capital murder warrant.
On Monday, August 28, the suspect voluntarily surrendered to the authorities and was subsequently booked into the Harris County Juvenile Justice Center. Due to his status as a juvenile, booking photos are not releasable to the public.
