Austin Man Dead in Motorcycle Crash

A devastating single-vehicle crash on Sunday, July 30, 2023, resulted in the tragic loss of Brandon L. Robinson, a 39-year-old Black male. The incident occurred at approximately 1:19 p.m. on the US 183 NB TO SH 45 EB Ramp when Robinson’s motorcycle collided with a wall, leading to his untimely death.

The Austin Police Department (APD) responded promptly to the scene and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. As of now, the incident is being classified as Austin’s 55th fatal crash of 2023, bringing the total number of fatalities for the year to 58. Comparatively, on the same date last year, there were 62 fatal crashes resulting in 63 deaths.

Law enforcement officials are conducting a thorough examination of the crash site and gathering witness testimonies to determine the cause of the collision. However, the investigation remains ongoing, and the details provided in the initial assessment are subject to change pending further findings.
