Alleged Assault Unravels as Deputies Discover False Report; Suspect Arrested in Spring, TX

On January 14, 2024, deputies from Harris County Constable Mark Herman’s Office were dispatched to the 3800 block of Coltwood Drive, Spring, TX, in response to a reported weapons disturbance. The complainant, 31-year-old Carlos Gil-Vidoza, alleged that he had been assaulted by a known male suspect.
Upon arrival, Constable Deputies conducted an investigation and discovered discrepancies in Gil-Vidoza’s account. Contrary to his description, the alleged suspect turned out to be a 70-year-old male who faced physical challenges, including difficulty walking.
Further questioning during the interview raised suspicions about the accuracy of Gil-Vidoza’s claims. Subsequently, Gil-Vidoza was taken into custody and booked into the Harris County Jail. He faces charges of False Report to a Police Officer.
Gil-Vidoza’s bond has been set at $100.00 out of County Court 13.
