High-Speed Reckless Driving Leads to Arrest on Icy Tomball Parkway

On January 16, 2024, a deputy with Constable Mark Herman’s Office noticed a vehicle speeding in the 23900 block of the Tomball Parkway, despite icy road conditions.

The vehicle, traveling at an excessive speed of over 106 miles per hour, was also observed driving recklessly. Due to the potential danger posed to people and property, a pursuit ensued, leading to a traffic stop.

The driver, identified as 21-year-old Christopher Contreras, was taken into custody. Contreras has been charged with Reckless Driving and was subsequently booked into the Harris County Jail. His bond has been set at $5,000.00 out of County Court 5.
