Houston Police Needs Help Identifying Woman Suspect in Stabbing and Assault Incidents
The Houston Police Department has released surveillance footage featuring a female suspect wanted in connection with two separate incidents – a stabbing and an assault – that occurred earlier this month.
The first incident took place on December 9 at approximately 10:55 a.m. on Bettis Drive, near Target on San Felipe Street. A 63-year-old male victim reported that he was walking in an alley behind a business when an unidentified Hispanic female, described to be in her early 40s, approached him from behind. The suspect, armed with a knife, stabbed the victim in the face without any apparent provocation. The victim was subsequently transported to a hospital in stable condition.
The second incident occurred on December 14 at around 2:20 p.m. on San Felipe Street near 4323 San Felipe Street. A 30-year-old male victim reported that as he was walking to his vehicle in the parking lot, he was struck on the right side of his head by a sharp object. The assailant, matching the description of the suspect from the first incident, walked away without uttering a word. The victim received on-site treatment for his injury.
Police detectives, after obtaining surveillance video and witness statements, have linked both incidents to the same female suspect.
The suspect is described as approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds, with short black hair worn in a bun.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the suspect to contact the HPD Major Assaults Division at 713-308-8800. Alternatively, individuals can provide anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
