Beaumont Police Seize Drugs, Guns, and Cash After Traffic Stop

BEAUMONT, Texas—A traffic stop on Thursday evening led Beaumont Police Narcotics Detectives to a residence where they seized a significant amount of drugs, two handguns, and cash.
At approximately 5:50 p.m. on September 18, detectives pulled over a vehicle driven by Calvin Bolds, 42. During the stop, they found a large quantity of suspected marijuana, and Bolds was arrested.
After interviewing Bolds and booking him into the Jefferson County Corrections Facility, detectives obtained a search warrant for his home in the 1800 block of W. Highland Drive. The subsequent search uncovered a “significant quantity of additional narcotics,” two handguns, U.S. currency, and other evidence consistent with drug trafficking.
