Two Dead in Fatal Crash on South State Highway 6 in Houston

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 1500 South State Highway 6 around 11:40 p.m. on Sunday, November 24.

The identities of the deceased male victims are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. According to investigators, the male driver of a white Ford Crown Victoria was traveling northbound when he failed to maintain a single lane, crossed into the southbound lanes, and collided with a black Mercedes C250. The driver of the Ford was ejected from the vehicle. A tan Toyota Camry traveling southbound also struck the Mercedes.

The 28-year-old male driver of the Ford was pronounced dead at the scene by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics. A 55-year-old male backseat passenger in the Mercedes was also pronounced dead at the scene. The 64-year-old male driver and 46-year-old female passenger of the Mercedes were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of their injuries. The driver of the Toyota Camry was not injured.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
