Houston Police Seek Suspect in Armed Robbery at Katy Freeway Service Station

HOUSTON, Texas — Houston police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect accused of committing an aggravated robbery at a service station along the Katy Freeway.
According to the Houston Police Department Robbery Division, the incident occurred shortly after midnight on May 19, 2026, at a business located in the 5300 block of Katy Freeway.
Investigators said an unidentified man entered the store and briefly walked through an aisle before approaching the counter to purchase a pack of cigarettes.
When the store clerk requested identification to verify the suspect’s age, the man allegedly pulled a handgun from his pocket and pointed it at the employee.
Police said the suspect then moved behind the counter, where a physical struggle broke out between the suspect and the clerk. During the confrontation, the two briefly wrestled over control of the firearm.
The suspect eventually broke free, grabbed tobacco products from the store and fled the scene.
Investigators said the suspect escaped in a silver or gray newer-model four-door Cadillac SUV that was parked outside the business.
The suspect is described as a White or Hispanic male between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 140 to 155 pounds. He reportedly had curly shoulder-length hair and was wearing dark-colored jeans, a light-colored shirt and black sneakers.
The case is being investigated under Houston Police Department case number 639693-26.
Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston. Information leading to the arrest or charging of a felony suspect may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
