Suspicious Males Lead Harris County Deputies on High-Speed Chase, Two Arrested, Stolen Firearm Recovered

On Thursday, April 17, 2025, deputies with the Harris County Constable Precinct 2 responded to a call from a concerned citizen reporting suspicious males knocking on his door. The citizen became wary when he noticed two of the males concealing their hands in their waistbands. The males had initially left the residence in a vehicle but returned shortly thereafter.

Upon arrival, deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle, which resulted in a pursuit. The chase lasted approximately 10 minutes before the suspect vehicle was disabled. Authorities apprehended four individuals: two adult males and two juvenile males.

During the incident, deputies recovered two firearms. One of the recovered firearms had been reported stolen from Louisiana. The driver of the vehicle was identified as a 17-year-old male, Jose Cruz, who was subsequently charged with Felony Evading in a motor vehicle. The front passenger, an 18-year-old male named Adrian Vasquez, was charged with Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon. Following consultation with the district attorney’s office, the two juvenile males were released without charges.
