Stumbling Woman Hit and Killed on Beechnut Street in West Houston

Houston police are currently investigating a tragic incident that occurred on Wednesday, October 25, at 10800 Beechnut Street around 8:05 p.m. The incident resulted in the loss of a 25-year-old female’s life. The identity of the deceased woman is awaiting verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Eyewitnesses reported that the female, who was a pedestrian, was observed stumbling while attempting to cross the eastbound lanes of Beechnut Street at the specified location. Unfortunately, she lost her balance and fell onto the roadway. At that moment, a white Ford F-150 pickup truck traveling eastbound on Beechnut Street struck her.

The Houston Fire Department paramedics rushed to the scene to provide assistance, but they pronounced the woman deceased.

The male driver of the white Ford F-150, aged 61, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Following an evaluation, it was determined that he was not impaired. He was questioned by the police and subsequently released.

The investigation is continuing.
