Stepfather Stabbed to Death in El Paso; Teen Arrested and Charged with Murder

On Sunday, January 12, 2025, at approximately 3:57 AM, El Paso Police officers responded to a domestic violence call in the 5800 block of Beaumont. Upon arrival, officers found 40-year-old Angel Martin Herrera had been stabbed. He was quickly transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators determined that 19-year-old Raymond Morales III had stabbed Herrera, who was his stepfather. Morales was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility, where he faces a charge of Murder. Judge Compton set his bond at $650,000.

The investigation is ongoing, and the Crimes Against Persons detectives continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
