Man Fatally Shot at North Harris County Apartment Complex, Investigators Say Robbery May Be Motive

HOUSTON, Texas – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Friday morning at an apartment complex in north Harris County.
Homicide detectives responded around midnight on May 22 to the Mira Bella Apartments at 22910 Imperial Valley Drive after receiving reports of a shooting in progress.
According to investigators, a tenant called 911 and reported that a man had been shot in the parking lot during a disturbance involving weapons and multiple gunshots.
Deputies arrived and found a man lying on the concrete suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead.
Crime Scene Unit investigators processed the area while detectives interviewed witnesses and reviewed multiple security camera videos connected to the shooting.
Authorities said the investigation determined the victim was shot multiple times by two suspects and that the incident may have been motivated by robbery.
The victim’s body was transported to the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office, where an autopsy is expected to determine the official cause and manner of death.
Investigators said the case remains active.
