Man Arrested for Shooting Family Member in Ector County

On Tuesday, December 17, 2024, deputies with the Ector County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO) responded to a shots-fired call in the 9100 block of Hubnik. Upon arrival, officers discovered that 39-year-old Baldemar Longoria had allegedly shot a family member before fleeing the scene.

An investigation quickly led deputies to the 1000 block of F.M. 1936, where Longoria was located and arrested without incident. He was transported to the Ector County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center and is being held on a charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Family Violence.

The ECSO continues to investigate the incident. Sheriff Mike Griffis encourages anyone with information regarding the case to report it anonymously to the ECSO.
