Jared Shelton Named President of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth
Jared Shelton, FACHE, has been appointed president of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, effective September 22. Shelton transitions from Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford, where he served as president for two years, focusing on enhancing patient experience and employee engagement.
Kirk King, chief operating officer of the Hospital Channel at Texas Health, expressed confidence in Shelton’s abilities, noting, “Jared is a rising star within Texas Health Resources, and we’re pleased to see him continue his career at one of our largest hospitals. Under his leadership at Texas Health Fort Worth, we expect the hospital to continue to grow to meet the needs of the community we serve.”
Shelton’s previous roles include six years as president of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen and six years at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, where he advanced from various leadership positions to vice president of professional and support services.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Trinity University in San Antonio. Shelton also serves as the ACHE Regent for the Texas-Northern region and is part of the Texas Hospital Association’s Council on Policy Development. He will be honored with the 2024 Momentum Award from Trinity University’s Health Care Administration Alumni Association next month for his notable contributions to healthcare management.
