Houston Woman Arrested in Connection to Two Stabbings in December 2023
Jessica Eleonor Salas, 36, has been apprehended and charged in connection to two separate stabbing incidents that occurred in December 2023. Salas faces two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 263rd State District Court.
The first incident took place on December 9, 2023, at around 10:55 a.m. on Bettis Drive. A 63-year-old male victim reported being attacked from behind by a female wielding a knife. The victim sustained injuries to his face but was transported to a hospital in stable condition.
The second incident occurred on December 14, 2023, at approximately 2:20 p.m. on San Felipe Street. A 30-year-old male victim was struck on the right side of his head with a sharp object by a female assailant who approached him from behind. The victim received treatment at the scene for his injury.
Surveillance footage and witness statements linked the same suspect to both incidents. Through further investigation and assistance from the public and media, detectives identified Salas as the perpetrator.
Salas was formally charged on April 3, 2024, while already in custody at the Harris County Jail on unrelated charges.
