Houston Teen Charged in Fatal Shooting in Greater Greenspoint that Claimed Life of an 18-year-old

A 16-year-old male suspect has been arrested and referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on charges of murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The charges stem from the November 12 fatal shooting of 18-year-old Jeffry Martinez Menjivar at 832 West Greens Road in North Houston around 10:50 p.m.

Houston patrol officers responded to a person down call at an apartment complex, discovering Menjivar unresponsive in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. The victim had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by Houston Fire Department paramedics who transported him to HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest, Menjivar was pronounced deceased.

Following a thorough investigation, authorities identified the 16-year-old as the suspect in the shooting. The juvenile was taken into custody on Tuesday, November 28, and during questioning, he admitted his involvement in the incident.
