Houston Police Report: Fatal Moped Crash on North Durham Street

A 30-year-old male has lost his life following a crash at 1600 North Durham Street on Tuesday night. The incident occurred around 11:55 p.m., and the victim succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday.

The identity of the deceased is awaiting confirmation by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

According to preliminary information, the male was riding a blue ZNEN Moped scooter southbound near the specified address, where construction activities were underway on both sidewalks.

Regrettably, the scooter failed to maintain a single lane and collided with a traffic barrel. Houston Fire Department paramedics rushed to the scene and transported the injured male to Memorial Hermann Hospital – Texas Medical Center.

Despite medical efforts, the victim was pronounced dead on Wednesday.
