Houston Police Seek Two Suspects in Cell Phone Store Robbery and Shooting
Houston police are searching for two suspects involved in an armed robbery and shooting at a cell phone store located at 8205 Cullen Boulevard around 5:05 p.m. on Sunday, January 26.
The suspects are described as two young Black males. One was wearing a black hooded jacket, while the other wore a yellow hooded jacket and was armed with a pistol. Surveillance video and photos of the suspects have been released.
According to police, two male employees were working inside the store when the suspects entered. At gunpoint, they demanded cash and cell phones. During the robbery, the suspect in the yellow jacket fired multiple shots at one of the employees but initially missed. As the employee attempted to flee through the front door, the suspect shot him multiple times. The second employee was not injured.
Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the wounded employee, an 18-year-old male, to an area hospital in critical condition. The suspects fled on foot into the surrounding neighborhood.
