Harris County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Fatal Crash on North Sam Houston Parkway Frontage Road

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred earlier this month on the North Sam Houston Parkway West frontage road.

According to investigators, the crash happened on Thursday, June 5, in the 1700 block of the eastbound North Sam Houston Parkway West frontage road.

Authorities said Anthony Hernandez was driving a blue Honda eastbound in the middle lane when witnesses reported an unidentified silver vehicle swerved toward the right side of his car.

Investigators said Hernandez moved into the left lane to avoid the silver vehicle. At the same time, a white Isuzu box truck driven by Vu Ho was traveling eastbound in the left lane.

Hernandez then attempted to steer back to the right, but his Honda ultimately collided with the Isuzu box truck.

Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and treated Hernandez, who later died from his injuries.

The unidentified silver vehicle has not been located.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division continues to investigate the crash.
