Harris County Detectives Investigating Early Morning Stabbing at Katy Waffle House

HOUSTON — Detectives with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a stabbing that occurred early Sunday morning at a Waffle House in the Katy area.
Deputies responded around 3 a.m. on May 17, 2026, to the Waffle House located at the 19800 block of W. Little York Rd after receiving reports of a stabbing.
When deputies arrived, investigators said they were unable to locate either the caller or the injured person at the scene.
A short time later, an adult male arrived at a local hospital by private vehicle suffering from lacerations believed to have been sustained during the altercation, authorities said.
Detectives with the sheriff’s office Violent Offenders Unit responded to collect evidence and interview witnesses.
Investigators said it remains unclear what led to the stabbing or who may have started the confrontation.
Authorities are continuing to interview witnesses and search for additional individuals connected to the incident.
