Austin Police Detectives Search for Multiple Suspects in Connection to Several Aggravated Robberies

The Austin Police Department (APD) Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying multiple suspects linked to a series of aggravated robberies that transpired at check cashing stores in Austin and Caldwell County. The crimes spanned from June 26, 2023, to September 9, 2023.

The suspects, captured in surveillance images (see attached photos), brandished a handgun while committing the robberies and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from three different establishments. One of the suspects, identified as Jefry Cruz Garcia, has already been taken into custody.

All four suspects are described as Hispanic males, aged between 17 and 25 years old.

The APD Robbery Unit is urging anyone with information about these incidents or the whereabouts of the remaining suspects to contact them at 512-974-5092. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest.
