Texas Most Wanted Fugitive Wanted on Child Sexual Assault Charge Captured in Travis County

AUSTIN, Texas – A Venezuelan man listed among Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants was captured during a traffic stop in Travis County after authorities received information about his whereabouts.

Fermin Alejandro Calles Garcia, 24, was taken into custody Sept. 5 during a traffic stop in northwest Travis County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Cedar Park police officers stopped a vehicle occupied by Calles Garcia while following up on information provided through the Texas Crime Stoppers program. He was arrested without incident.

DPS Criminal Investigations Division special agents from Austin assisted with the investigation.

Calles Garcia had been wanted in Travis County since March 2025 on warrants for sexual assault of a child and stalking, according to DPS. He was also wanted on a misdemeanor warrant for assault causing bodily injury.

DPS identifies Calles Garcia as being from Venezuela. The agency included him in its Texas 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants list, a program targeting fugitives whom state authorities identify as immigrants unlawfully in the United States.

Texas Crime Stoppers will pay a reward for information that contributed to his arrest, DPS said. The agency did not disclose the amount of the reward.
