Sex Offender Arrested After Hiding in Air Dam of 18-Wheeler at Falfurrias Checkpoint

On November 24, 2024, U.S. Border Patrol agents at the Falfurrias Checkpoint in South Texas (Highway 281) made a significant arrest when they discovered convicted sex offender Jesus Rivera-Gutierrez hiding in the air dam of an 18-wheeler. Rivera-Gutierrez, a Mexican national, was found to have a prior conviction for possession of child pornography and an outstanding arrest warrant for violating his probation.
