South Texas Woman Arrested After Assaulting Sister and Resisting Deputies
On Wednesday, April 10, 2024, Sheriff Deputies responded to a residence in Olmito, Texas, following a distressing assault report. Upon reaching the scene, they encountered an 18-year-old female victim bearing visible signs of assault. The victim disclosed that her sister, identified as 22-year-old Nicole Alfaro, assaulted her by pulling her hair and scratching her face during a heated dispute stemming from an argument with her boyfriend.
Following up on the incident, Sheriff Deputies proceeded to a residence on Lakeside Blvd where they made contact with Nicole Alfaro. However, the situation escalated when Alfaro resisted detainment, engaging in combative behavior. Despite efforts to restrain her, Alfaro remained hostile, prompting the deployment of Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) spray to gain compliance and prevent further damage to the vehicle.
Sheriff Deputies arrested Nicole Alfaro and transferred her to the Carrizales Rucker Detention Center pending arraignment. She faces charges including Assault Family Violence, a Class A Misdemeanor, Resisting Arrest, also a Class A Misdemeanor, and Assault on a Public Servant, a 3rd Degree Felony, with three counts.
