Former Muleshoe High School Teacher Charged in Federal Case Involving 17-Year-Old Student
LUBBOCK, Texas – A former Muleshoe High School teacher in West Texas has been indicted on a federal charge accusing her of using a cellphone to entice a 17-year-old student to engage in sexual activity.
A federal grand jury in Lubbock indicted 28-year-old Allegra Fey Mora on one count of enticement of a minor.
According to the indictment, the alleged conduct occurred between October 2025 and May 2026 while Mora was a teacher at Muleshoe High School.
The Texas Rangers began investigating in June after receiving a report of possible inappropriate sexual conduct between Mora and a 17-year-old student, according to federal prosecutors.
During the investigation, authorities conducted interviews, collected electronic evidence and executed search warrants. Prosecutors said investigators found evidence corroborating explicit communications and conduct underlying the federal charge.
The indictment accuses Mora of knowingly using a facility or means of interstate or foreign commerce, including a cellphone, to persuade, induce, entice or coerce the minor to engage in sexual activity.
Mora was previously arrested by state authorities and released while those proceedings were pending. Federal prosecutors did not provide details about the state charges in their announcement.
If convicted of the federal charge, Mora faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years and up to life in prison.
