Fatal Shooting Under Investigation in Southwest Houston

Houston Police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place at 5400 Heatherbrook Drive in southwest Houston around 8:05 p.m. last Friday (January 12).

The victim, a 33-year-old male, has not been officially identified pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Responding to a report of a shooting in a parking lot at the mentioned address, HPD patrol officers discovered the victim lying unresponsive. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, and Houston Fire Department paramedics transported him to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

As of now, there is no known motive or information on the suspect(s) involved in the incident.
