23-Year-Old Succumbs to Gunfire in Heated Dispute in Braeburn Area Over a Loud Vehicle

Houston police have confirmed the death of a 23-year-old man, Richar Torres Gomez, who was critically injured in a shooting incident that occurred on January 11 (around 8:05 am) at 9707 South Gessner Road in the Braeburn area.

The victim and another male were involved in an argument with an unknown suspect over a loud vehicle. The situation escalated when the suspect produced a firearm and shot both men. Emergency services responded, transporting one victim, Richar Torres Gomez, to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in critical condition.

Despite the efforts of medical professionals, Gomez succumbed to his injuries, and doctors pronounced him deceased on Saturday, January 13. The second male, a 19-year-old, sustained gunshot wounds but is expected to survive after being transported to an area hospital.

As of now, there is no available description of the suspect involved in the shooting.
