Deputies Arrest Two Men After Vehicle Crash in Cypresswood Drive
On December 20, 2023, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office swiftly responded to a report of a vehicle crashing into a ditch in the 200 block of Cypresswood Drive. A vigilant witness observed the male driver, later identified as 23-year-old Carlos Sanchez, leaving the scene with another male, identified as 19-year-old Henry Sariles, in a separate vehicle. The witness, concerned about the situation, followed both vehicles until they reached their workplace.
Upon the deputies’ arrival, Sanchez, the driver involved in the crash, and Sariles were identified. Further investigation revealed that Sariles had several open Class C warrants for his arrest. Both individuals displayed noticeable signs of intoxication.
Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were conducted, leading to the determination that both Sanchez and Sariles were intoxicated. Additionally, during a search of the vehicle involved in the crash, deputies discovered a loaded firearm.
Both Carlos Sanchez and Henry Sariles were subsequently arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. Sanchez faces charges of Driving While Intoxicated and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. Sariles faces charges related to the open warrants and Driving While Intoxicated.
